Jesus Christ birth We know from the biblical account that Jesus Christ is God incarnate in human flesh for apostle John wrote, ''In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.'' (John 1:1) The Word of course is the Lord Jesus Christ Himself with the Father, before his virgin birth took place in Bethlehem. ''And the Word was made flesh, and dwell among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the Only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.'' (John1:14 kjv). Apostle John made it clear that Jesus Christ which is the Word was with God the Father all along before his incarnation took place during the Roman Empire regime was in placed. The point that John was trying to drive to his readers was the historicity of this marvelous event. It was not just a made up story, but it was part of our history as human being. Just imagine if you were there living and breathing at that time, it would be the best time of your life meeting the God who created you in person. Also John emphasized the Diety of the Lord Jesus Christ as one of the person of the Trinity. No doubt, regardless of what other religious sect have to say concerning the Diety of the Lord Jesus Christ, He is God incarnate in human flesh. Going to the book of Luke, we are going to find very interesting Scriptures concerning the birth, and the life of Jesus Christ from birth to his death to the cross, and resurrection from the grave after three days. This is what Luke wrote in his opening statment: ''Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely (certainly) believed among us. Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word (Old Testament Scriptures). Luke is one of the 12 apostles chosen by the Lord Jesus during His earthly ministry. Luke walked, eat, sleep with the Lord Jesus Christ for at least three years of Jesus ministry here on the planet earth. Luke 2:1-7 ''And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be tax. (and) this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria). and all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. And Jodeph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) to be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. That day of taxation, people are so focus on their tribute to Ceasar, the birth of the Messiah which the whole Israel was waiting for so long had gone unnoticed. All the inns were booked, Joseph and Mary had to accept what was available, the place where all the animals were parked for the night. People during those times travel not in cars, and planes but with horses, and donkeys, so the manger mentioned in the Bible was the place for all those animals used for travel. You can just imagine the stench Joseph and Mary have to endure, let alone the baby Jesus in a swaddling clothes. Although, December 25 was not the exact date when the Lord Jesus Christ was born, we know from Luke that Jesus Christ was born during the Roman Empire taxation. As we see here, everyone went home to their respected home town to pay their taxes to Ceasar Augustus. For Joseph and Mary went to the City of David because that is where they from. Joseph and Mary were of course from the blood line of King David as Luke stated in his narrative. We really don't know the significant why the Lord Jesus Christ was born in such date, but one thing is certain, Jesus Christ the God man was born and all Christians all around the world had taken the month of December to celebrate this great event in our history. The prophet Micah also foretold about the coming of Jesus Christ into our world, ''But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, (though) thou be little among the thousands of Judah, (yet) out of thee shall he come forth unto me (that is ) to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth (have been) from the old, from everlasting.'' (Micah 5:2 KJV). The Prophet Isaiah also wrote concerning the birth of Christ; ''For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder; and his name shall be called Wonderful, the mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace, oF the increase of (his) government and peace (there shall be ) no end, upon the throne of David, and upon the zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.'' (Isaiah 9:6-7 KJV). Apostle Matthew also whote concerning the birth of Jesus Christ, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.'' (Matthew 1:23 KJV). Alll these scriptures we have provided for your reading led to a definitive conclusion that Jesus Christ is God in the flesh. We cannot down play this event as if Jesus Christ is only a man, a good prophet, a great teacher, or a great man. Jesus Christ came here to give us hope of Eternal life, and revealed the Righteousness of God the Father. His coming of course was not a surprise to the Jews, though by enlarge they rejected him, Jesus Christ had chosen 12 men to bring the message across. Now in our own time, God called many missionaries, pastors, evangelists to bring the message of the Gospel of His Son to the world by any means. In a nutshell the message in very simple: Jesus Christ came into our world to die and pay the penalty of sin in full @ Calvary Cross, however, on the third day rose again from the grave. Base upon his death on the cross, shedding his precious blood as the full payment of our sin, we can now come to God the Father in repentance, and we can placed our faith in Christ Jesus as the only Savior. When a person would come to God in repentance, and accept the Lord Jesus Christ as his/her Savior then God will grant him/her forgiveness of sin, give him/her Eternal life, and adopt him/her in His Family. That is the promise of God for everyone that will come to him in repentance and recieved his Only Begotten Son as the Savior.
John 3:16 says, ''For God so loved the world, that whosowever believeth in im should not perish. but have everlasting life.'' This is the promished of God to all who will recieved Jesus Christ as his/her Eternal Life as God the Father promised. Apostle Paul put it this way, ''For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.'' (Roman 10:13 kjv). |
